A Dance with Diabetes
Michael Mossine, 11, started dancing when he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was six years old. He eventually loved it, and started dancing since. He is learning tap dance, jazz and ballet thrice a week at Dancearts of Columbia.
Things I like about Columbia
For our photojournalism lab today, we had to film street scenes in Columbia.
Pictorial photography
We could be as creative as possible for this assignment. Play on colours and composition. But we had to include people within the frame, too, …
Sports photography
For this assignment, we had to take two photos of sporting action. An action photo of a sporting activity and a sports feature picture.
Environmental portraits
For this assignment, we had to photograph one of our Breaking the ice subjects.
Interaction photography
As the name suggests, we had to photograph people interacting with one another.
Honest emotions
For this assignment, we had to photograph our subject showing an emotion.
Breaking the ice
Our next assignment was to photograph 10 strangers we meet, talk to them, and make a portrait of them.
What’s in your pocket?
The very first assignment we had for our photojournalism class was to approach strangers and photograph what was in their pockets.
When all else fails,
I still have my camera and me.
